The Discipleship Ministry Team of the Presbytery of Lake Michigan has a list of people who have developed presentations in the area
of adult education. We’d like to get as broad a list of topics as possible, as
the adult education programs in our churches are quite varied in their focus.
If you have taught or led an adult education program in your own church (or
elsewhere) or have developed something you would be willing to "take on the
road" to present at other churches, please make yourself known by filling out
the form below or using our
printer-friendly form! We have so many gifts and so much knowledge in our
Presbytery – let’s share with each other!

Formation of the New Testament
Were there really more than four gospels? This
presentation covers the history of the formation of the NT canon, including an introduction to other types of early Christian literature (Gospels: Thomas, Mary, Judas; Acts: Paul and
Thecla, etc). It will provide an opportunity to explore the meaning of canon, why some early Christian texts were not included, and what all this means for Christians today.
This presentation is conceived as 2 sessions of 1 - 1.5 hours. This is
flexible and can even be extended to 3-4 sessions if you wish to explore the formation of the Old Testament, the Apocrypha and why Christians use different canons. |

challenges the frequent view of African nations as people living in grass
huts and carrying spears by showing Ghana as a modern nation with good
schools and busy cities. He is articulate on the economic challenges
facing Ghana and the goals of the younger generation. |
