E-bulletin

What: This email is sent twice a month to the broader presbytery community. It is used to inform and to remind.

Audience: Anyone and everyone. It is sent to everyone in the directory and anyone who signs up at the website.

When: Sent twice a month

Web Site 

What: This is our primary one stop for answers and information about the presbytery. Anything you want to know about the presbytery should be found at our website, www.lakemichiganpresbytery.org. If you can't locate something at the website, let us know!!!

Audience: While the site is designed for members of the presbytery and it's congregations; anyone and everyone can visit the  www.lakemichiganpresbytery.org 24/7. 

When: Updated as information is received.

Congregational Connection

What: Quarterly bulletin insert mailed to every church informing and promoting a specific ministry team (see schedule below). Worksheet

Audience: The intent is to put something in the hands of each person in our congregations. This media kit contains a poster, bulletin insert and a powerpoint.

When: Quarterly. One ministry team is the focus per issue. Ministry teams are provided with a worksheet to help gather information for the issue. Schedule is as follows:

• First Quarter: Administration

• Second Quarter: Outreach

• Third Quarter: Discipleship

• Fourth Quarter: Shepherding 

Presbytery Packet

What: Downloadable support information for the Presbytery meeting includes minutes, meeting materials, preliminary docket, map to meeting location, etc. An email is sent notifying people when this information is available for download. It is expected  commissioners will print this material and bring it to the meeting. 

Audience: Clergy, church offices, ministry teams and Elder Commissioners (if we have their email addresses!)

When: Available prior to the Presbytery meeting, an email is send notifying commissioners when it is available for viewing/downloading (approximately 2 weeks before the meeting)

Presbytery  

What: Stated meetings of the Presbytery. If you are unable to report at Presbytery, you still have an opportunity to communicate: 

30 Second Announcements - Any person or group is welcome to speak during the 30 Second Announcement time during the Presbytery meeting 

Display Tables - Display tables are available for those who request them. The tables are located in a highly visible area outside of the Presbytery meeting room

When: The Presbytery of Lake Michigan typically convenes in January, March, June, September and November. Check the website for specifics.
