Presbytery Nominating Committee
Polity experts and seekers
are needed to be part of a task force to review the New Form of Government
and make a response from our Presbytery. Click here
for details or contact Janet
Magennis, Stated Clerk.
Greenwood always needs
volunteers to keep camp in good physical condition. Help is needed with
building and grounds maintenance. Also, volunteers are needed to serve on
the Greenwood Agency or to work with subcommittees of the agency in long
range planning, fund raising, program development, marketing and publicity.
Contact Camp Director, Greg Hoekman (greghoekman@yahoo.com)
or Nancy Kinch (nancykinch@hotmail.com)
to volunteer or for more information.
The Presbytery supports campus ministry programs at Michigan
State, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo Valley Community College and
at several schools in Downtown Grand Rapids. The boards for these
ministries consist of volunteers who oversee the ministry and also raise
financial support. More information can be found at
http://www.lakemichiganpresbytery.org/discipleship/higher_ed.htm.
Volunteers are needed to serve on the Youth Strategy Team
which meets periodically by phone and in person to plan youth events and to
develop opportunities for leadership development for youth and their
leaders.
The Resource Center needs volunteers to help select resources
and to work in the resource center to remove outdated resources.
Contact Eileen Best in the presbytery office -resources@lakemichiganpresbytery.org
Persons with interest in serving in any of the areas
supported by the DMT or the DMT itself can volunteer to be co-opted to the
team or be elected through the
nominating process of the presbytery.
